to have back with me again once more my good friend and fellow attorney Colby Reddish from

Idaho. How are you doing today Colby?

I'm doing well this morning. How are you?

Well I'm doing great so we did one part the first part of Mormonism and the Rules of

Evidence. We put it out there to see if there was any interest in Part 2 and much to my surprise,

there was a great deal of interest in Part 2. What kind of feedback have you been getting about

Part 1 of this show?

Yeah I've gotten a lot of emails or reddit messages, a lot of actually a few comments on the blog that I

had mentioned so I was actually kind of excited to see how many people were super interested in it.

There were a few people who called us to repentance just for being lawyers, both of us.

Well that's understandable.

And that actually I have an opening quote to kind of go hand in hand with that call to

repentance. So Joseph Smith said on June 30th 1843, do not employ lawyers or pay them for their

money, for their knowledge. For I have learned they don't know anything. I know more than they all.

And I thought that was probably a good opening quote for today's Part 2.

Do you really think Joseph Smith knew more than all the lawyers?

I am absolutely certain that Joseph Smith thought he knew more than all the lawyers.

It's a remarkable thing because although we're not going to go into it now,

Joseph Smith has quite a history of hiring attorneys to defend him in court.

That's right.
