Well, a couple of wins for Michigan basketball over the weekend.

The women knocking off Rutgers on Saturday, then the men with an

overtime victory over Northwestern. The women at 2-0 week, the men splitting things, and we're here to

break it down on this episode of Inside Michigan Basketball, which comes on Martin Luther King,

Jr. Day. We'll ask both head coaches, Terry, but what's this day mean to you and how have you

seen basketball kind of embrace it and showcase itself on this special day? Well, it's a special day.

Everyone seems to showcase it and they do a good job at it. He stood for equality,

just a fair chance.

And that's what you're seeing in today's world.

And that's what it's all about.

So you look at those type of opportunities, and I look at myself having an opportunity

to play basketball at a very high level. Also being able to do this broadcast.

I mean, you wouldn't have these opportunities if it wasn't for Dr. Martin Luther King.

Yeah. And the words that Dr. King espoused back then were confrontational. Now it seems like

many of them are just obvious lessons. It shows the progress we've made and also the progress

we still have to make.

So we're thankful for all of his teachings that still live on to this day.
