Hi, everyone, and welcome to Inside Michigan Hockey, the Brandon Nerato show.

It's that time of year, the days on the calendar flipping by faster than Jackson Hallam on a

breakaway with just six regular season games to go.

And with a little help from Minnesota, the Michigan Wolverines moved back into fourth

place and the final home ice playoff berth with a resounding 7-3 Saturday night victory over Penn State.

The Nidney Lions claim the opener of the two

games set 5-4 on Friday. And that all sets the stage for rivalry week part two. Wolverines

head to Munn Ice Arena Friday night to face Big Ten leading Michigan State, then Saturday

a trophy on the line when the Wolverines and Spartans go head to head in the

duel in the D. Also on this week's show, we'll be joined by junior forward Kenan Draper and freshman

defenseman Miles Gust all coming your way on this edition of Inside Michigan hockey from Learfield.

And the Wolverines wound up taking nine of a possible 12 points in a high-octane

four-game regular season series against Penn State that produced a total of

46, 46 goals, 27 by Michigan, 11 of those on the power play.

So Brandon, lots of fun for the fans, 46 goals, maybe not so much for the coaches.

Yeah, goals four is good, but obviously we want to do a

better job, uh, you know, just defending. So there's reasons to it. Obviously the penalties,
