Summary

Welcome to the Pretty Intense Podcast. We have our great friend back on the show, Mr. Randall Carlson. Randall has spent the past 30 years searching for evidence of climate change. Reading the patterns on rocks to assess when mass flooding has happened, and what caused it. Could these changes in weather be caused by cosmic impact? Randall has been called a climate change denier, but he says he believes very much in climate change and can walk you through the proof and truth. Join Randall Carlson as he unravels the mysteries of ancient climate shifts! We also dig into a conversation about energy. Where will the future of energy come from? Is that power of harnessing this energy being hidden from us? These questions and so many more are answered today on the Pretty Intense Podcast. Don't miss it!

If there was ancient civilizations, ancient cultures, and they were technologically advanced,

0:05.6

let's not assume that they looked anything like we do.

0:08.8

I mean, we built a whole civilization based on fossil fuels.

0:11.8

Is that the only way to build a civilization?

0:13.9

The Holocene is the last roughly 11,000 years post-ice age.

0:42.8

But when we're looking into deep history, we're really looking into a mirror.

0:47.2

We're looking for something that looks like us, and it may not look like us.

0:52.0

How have you been?

0:53.6

Oh, I've been mostly good, traveling a lot and getting weary from being on the road.

0:58.7

So I've been back about two weeks now and just kind of, it takes me a week.

1:02.7

When I spend a month on the road, it takes me a week to recover.

1:05.6

I'm the same way, whether it's like just the exhaustion or the travel, the work that you did,

1:10.5

or, you know,

1:11.5

being away from the norm. So, so I feel the same. I'm catching up on some sleep myself.

1:16.0

I'm not quite as adaptive roughing it as I used to be. I could sleep, you know, anywhere pretty much

1:23.5

under a picnic table during a rainstorm, which I actually did one time when I was stuck out on the Olympic Peninsula.
