We're sitting here on Tuesdayuesday afternoon and a lot has happened

and now cj gardner johnson gets traded yeah half the number one defense in the NFL in

twenty twenty four is gone and cj's the the latest piece of that and uh kind of a shocking move

and a lot to unpack with this one in the

very simplest terms how he wants to get younger and go with rookie guy rookie contract guys like

sidney brown who did some good things as a rookie two years ago kind of had a lost year this

year as far as defense just

because he started late cj was back he was a third round pick they want to see what he can do

uh and they they want it they want this whole group of tyler steen and keely wringo and

and just all these young guys to uh to kind of be the next generation of Eagle starters,

guys that Howie drafted.

But when you're talking about CJ,

you're talking about a really unique player and personality.

It's going to be very tough to replace.

And on the field, 12 interceptions and 28 games is crazy production. It's almost the

interception every other game. And we've talked about just the intangibles that he brings to the

locker room, to the field, the energy, the attitude, the edge. And it's something that was

missing in 23. They just didn't have that and they're going
