We are less than a week away from the start of free agency.

Rube, the offseason does not slow down.

No, it doesn't.

The NFL is, they're uncanny and their ability to turn everything into an event

and make the season last all year.

So, you know, you get through free agency and the draft is there and then you get through that and

the schedule comes out. That's a big deal now, schedule day. And then you have OTAs and then there

might be a few quiet weeks and then next thing you know, you're in training camp. So it really is a

Some news since the last pod, Darius Slay informed of his release. Scott Leffler hired his quarterback's coach, a big trade in the NFC East. But let's start off with the big news came down on Monday.

The Eagles are releasing Darius Slay after five years with the team.

I'm going to miss that bit, honestly.

Five years with the team, three Pro Bowls, two Super Bowl appearances, one Lombardi

trophy. I think even an underrated player in his time here, what's your reaction to the news?

Where do you think it goes from here? Yeah, I mean, it's obviously it's not out of the blue. I mean, we knew he wasn't going to be here on that contract.

I still think there's a chance he might be here. He might see what's out there. The organization thinks the world of him.

I agree with you. He played really well. And, you know, I think there was a notion last year that he wasn't,

that he had lost something. And look, maybe he's not the player he was in his prime.

But I thought he was still really good. And I thought this year, he was terrific in so many ways.

And, you know, I spent some time down in New Orleans with, with Quignan and Cooper talking

about Slay and just the, the impact he had on their rookie seasons. And what a, what a generous

teammate he was, kind of showing them the ropes on the field, off the field, find, you know,
