Hello and welcome to best laid plans.

0:11.1

This is your host, Sarah Hart Unger, and this is the podcast where we talk all things

0:14.7

planning and planning adjacent.

0:16.8

And I have a treat for you today.

0:20.4

I don't have that many guests on this podcast. I feel like I have

0:24.5

about one a month. That's what I aim for. Sometimes they are really big people in the planning space,

0:30.4

and those people are always a lot of fun to have on. For example, I've had Cal Newport, who has his own

0:35.4

planner. I have had Greg McHugh in the author of

0:37.8

Essentialism. I have had, I'm like drawing a blank right now, but I've had a bunch and they're really,

0:43.5

really fun. But every once in a while, someone sends me kind of like another story, like a more

0:48.8

just how a person is using a planner. And I was absolutely struck by Stacey Mellum, who emailed me to tell me about

0:55.6

1:09.2

where you can take out pages, put pages in,

1:11.5

move things around. I was particularly intrigued. I've never actually seen a Franklin Covey planner

1:17.1

in person, but I love the idea of planners that are designed to help you set goals based on your

1:22.8

values, use your time intentionally, and that have stood the test of time because obviously

1:26.7

they've been around for a really long time at this point. So I'm not going to talk much longer because

1:32.5

Stacey does all the talking, but she is a fantastic example of someone who has made her

1:39.1

planner system work for her over a long period of time, how she's adapted that system to

1:44.0

various parts of her life,
