the word, prayers, in our heart. I'm Lisa Whittle, and I welcome you to just five minutes with me, which I trust and pray

will be five minutes well spent.

Well, hey there, and welcome to the Friday Five, our favorite around here, right?

The five-minute, sometimes a little longer, I admit, list of all kinds of things that help give

us some practical how-toes about all kinds of different

things, sometimes light and fun and sometimes spiritual and informative. Today is going to wrap

up our grieving week on the show with five things to say to someone who is in grief. I know a lot

of times we talk about what not to say, but what do we say? That's what we really want to know.

We'll talk about that today on the Friday 5.

So let's get right to it because the time on Friday truly does fly. Five things to say to someone

in grief. Number one, I love you. Now obviously, if you barely know this person, you may not feel

comfortable or even genuine saying this. But if you do, obviously, if you barely know this person, you may not feel comfortable or even

genuine saying this. But if you do, and even if that person is not your very best friend,

these three words are powerful. It's amazing how when we know Jesus, there is a bond of love

there. So while I'm not suggesting you use these words flippantly, I am suggesting you

communicate love. The greatest of these in every

situation is indeed love. That's what the Bible says, not me. Number two, I'm here. That's literally all

you have to say. You don't have to keep qualifying that statement. You have to list all the ways.
