Hello everybody. This is Jennifer Metteries. Obviously, this is not a regular episode. This is a bonus episode.

Previously, I did a bonus episode a few weeks back about Society of the Snow. I had not yet seen the movie. I had been wanting

to see the movie. I'd been hoping to see it on big screens before I could see it on the

smaller screen on Netflix when it was released on January 4th. I didn't get a chance to,

unfortunately, see it on the big screen because I think seeing it on the big screen would have been phenomenal.

Unfortunately, right after Christmas, I got the flu. I just kept testing myself and testing myself to make sure that it wasn't COVID, and it wasn't COVID.

It was just the flu, and it just kept going and

going and going. And unfortunately, I was not able to go down to Philly, which is the closest

place, which was playing it, and see Society of Snow on the big screen. So I didn't get to. But as soon as it

came out, I saw it two times before that first afternoon.

I stayed up until like three in the morning until it came on Netflix.

And then I watched it, went to sleep, got back up again, watched it, called my therapists

for our regular meeting, watched it again. I watched it a few times.

I have seen it maybe, I think, six or seven times at this point. So I kind of wanted to

soak in it a little bit. I didn't want to immediately come out and say, this is what I liked, this is what I

didn't like, because normally when I come out of a movie, I'm a little bit high on the movie,

and I am very excited about everything, seeing its flaws is a little more difficult for me to do.

It's really hard for me to do that in this particular case, because Society of the Snow is one of the best movies I saw all year.

And just let's put aside the fact that this is a story that I am utterly fascinated

with and have been for about 30 years now. Let's put aside the fact that I love any disaster movie,

whether it be about a real disaster or a fictional one, whether it be a terrible disaster movie or

a disaster movie worthy of Oscars. This was a really, really good movie.
