Welcome to me into another PFF grade release show, Max Chadwick alongside Dalton Waspman here, breaking down all four of the first round college football

playoff games, revealing all of the PFF grades from those first four games, going over the

stat that told the story in all four games, and also the most impressive part of all four games.

And Don, unfortunately, none of these four games were very close, but I still feel like we learned

a lot about some of the playoff teams we saw.

I think we learned plenty.

I don't have any issue with the way the weekend went, honestly, and I think we have to remember that at all levels of football from peewee all the way up to the NFL, the first round of playoffs, this can happen.

Yeah.

This can happen. Yeah. This can happen. And honestly, the better team won all four games.

And the idea of this expanded playoff structure to me is not all we want to find out is on

the field instead of hypothetically who the better teams are.

I think the four teams that won these games just prove that they're the better team.

And they're among the eight best teams in the country.

So structurally, I have no issue with the way anything went this weekend. It's just that people, I guess, weren't as entertained as they wanted to be.

So what you're saying is you don't want to go back to the 90s when they just chose the national

champion. No, I'm good on that. That seems asinine to me. Okay. I just want to make sure,

because there's a lot of takes going on Twitter yesterday about what everyone wanted out of college football. That's always funny to me, because I guess I'm newer to college football than a lot of other people who've done this for a lot

longer. But the fact that for 100 years, we just had a group of people just choose the national

champion, that always amazed me. At no other level of college football, the lower levels,

do they even do that? They've had playoffs and things like that. Way bigger playoffs, too. This is by far the smallest playoff that we have.

There's 24s and 32 sitting out there. Absolutely. So, you know, no, I'm all, I'm all for it. Look,
