Re-welding is one of those slightly problematic terms

that means different things to different people.

It's a term which is, to be honest, evolving.

Peter Kierns is the Executive Director of Scotland, the Big Picture, an organisation which supports rewelding in this country.

Now, I met up with them recently, close to the River Feshi near King Craig.

And as we wandered along the riverbank, Peter explained to me his vision for the organisation.

I suppose the very, very basic idea is more nature.

I mean, you call that rewilding, call it nature recovery, call it ecological restoration,

call it what you will.

But fundamentally, Scotland, the UK find itself in a situation where we're one of the most nature depleted countries in the world,

bizarrely, we're also one of the best educated and most affluent countries in the world.
