The only total lunar eclipse of 2019, it'll light up the sky across North America, South America,

as well as parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia. The whole enchilada, we all get to see

this amazing show and it's being referred to by a variety of names but of course the best has to be

Super Blood Wolf Moon and the the super refers to the fact that the moon will be closest to the Earth in its orbit when the total eclipse takes place.

Blood is a reference to the reddish hue the moon will take on during the eclipse.

And Wolf, I didn't know this. Wolf is taken from the

old farmers almanac as full moon moons in January. Full moons in January are apparently known

as full wolf moons and if you want to watch it live

NASA says that the edge of the moon will begin or it well it did begin to enter the

the Earth's penumbra, the outer section of the Shadow, at about

6.30 p.m. Pacific or 939 Eastern, so that was a few hours ago. And then over the course

of that next hour the moon started to dim as it traveled through

the Penumbra.
