could. As a result, I now own over 700 albums that came out in 2016 and I'm convinced it's

the greatest year for music of all time. But it's not enough me being convinced. I also want to

convince each and every single one of you, plus a guest every week.

We're talking about Strangers by Marissa Nadler.

I can't see you. Marissa Nadler is a musician from Boston, Massachusetts.

She has done many albums over the years.

This particular album, Strangers, was a bit of a departure for her.

It was her really committing to one sound full of strings and like gothic Americana influence all the way through.

Singing my lover's song was higher than the sky and scream. She used to be an artist before she started getting into music, a visual artist,

and she still views a lot of her songs and albums as paintings.

That's how she approaches things a lot of the time.

And I think you can really hear that.
