Hossmith is a very, very respected member of the community.

And she's a fortune teller. She's a pretty rich fortune teller, to be honest.

In the city that she lives in, it's kind of like the Little Saigon of Orange County, California.

I mean, she was, A, very, very loved for just the person she was.

Kind, understanding, she would listen to people, but also B, she was a spiritual guide for a lot of respected people in the community.

She was very, very expensive, however, and that's kind of what led to her affluent lifestyle.

But it was entirely earned, and everybody loved her. But when you're it was entirely earned and everybody loved her. But when

you're rich, talented, and everyone loves you, there's always somebody creeping in the shadows

trying to ruin your life or take you down. And on April 22nd in 2005, Ha Smith was found

dead in her home alongside her 23-year-old daughter, Anita Vo.

One thing that was strange about this crime was Ha Smith had been robbed a few years earlier

in 2001. They had stolen over $370,000 worth of jewelry. She kept a lot of money in the house

because she was a fortune

teller and people usually paid her in cash. When she got robbed, she boarded up the house, she

put bars everywhere, I mean in a classy way, she was pretty well protected. So the authorities

figured that this had to have been someone that knew them.

There was no forced entry.

After the murders, though, this person had doused their bodies in white paint.

A couple suspects came to mind.
