It's April 29, 1483, and 30-year-old Richard III is sitting at a large table outside with a bunch of other nobles.

The moon is out, the fire is crackling, and Richard is picking at the remains of a decadent feast.

Which sounds like my kind of camping, minus the being outside part.

Yeah, you like glamping.

I love glamping, especially in my own bedroom.

Yep.

Richard takes one last bite of pheasant as he listens to a nobleman brag about his jousting skills.

So now the night sounds even less fun to me.

But for a 15th century royal like Richard, it seems like an average glamping night out.

But as the nobleman blabbers on,

Richard is having a hard time keeping a smile plastered on his face

because there is nothing normal about this evening.

Three weeks ago, Richard's brother, King Edward, died unexpectedly,

which made the king's 12-year-old son Eddie the new king in town. But since

Eddie is too young to rule, Edward named Richard as Lord Protector, aka Regent, of England,
