On July 9, 2018, the home of Allen and Carla Rutherford was set on fire. Allen managed

to get out of a window and made it to a neighbor's house where he begged for help. He was nude

and his entire body was burned and bleeding. The neighbor, Karen Monk, didn't even recognize

Allen at first. She called 911 and tried to comfort the man as they waited for emergency

services to arrive. When firefighters arrived, they found Carla still inside the burning

house and managed to get her out, but she didn't survive the fire. When investigators

spoke to Allen who was amazingly still alive, he told them that his house had been set

on fire intentionally and that someone very close to him and his wife had done it.
