Hello and welcome to a sad edition of Turned Out of Punk. I'm your host, Damien Abraham, and today I'm going to be talking to about the late great drummer Clem Burke.

Clem was the legendary drummer of Blondie, in addition of playing in a bunch of other bands, including the Ramones over the years.

I was a fan of lots of projects that Clem was in and was lucky enough to

have Clem on the show a couple years ago. And Tristan and I decided we wanted to repost this,

of course, without the ads and stuff. Just so everyone gets a chance to kind of hear Clem talk about some of his great history.

He's a rock and roll hall of famer, but he's someone who I think has a deep, deep love of this music that goes beyond just the recognition he gets for Blondie.

He was someone who, as he says in this interview, like, love touring

and playing this music and just being out there and getting the chance to do this and

provide this beat that has inspired so much, like everything that came after it. So thank you to

Clem for everything he did.

This episode goes out to all of Clem's bandmates, all of Clem's family,

and anyone who's feeling the impact and the loss of Clem Burke right now.
