fish the D. At the time, Tara Spears didn't know what kind of reaction she'd get, But today, more and more women are taking up fishing

on one of the most famous salmon rivers in the world. I joined Tara and some new recruits on the

riverbank to find out more. We are at a beat on the River Dee called Upper Drum and Lower Duras, just at Dremoke.

So it's the lower river and it's an absolutely beautiful spot.

We're just walking along the shingle just now and it's flat calm.

There's a little bit of sun out but not too much to annoy the fish.

And there are a few anglers in the river at the moment.

Yes, we've got some ladies fishing this morning.

They're here actually all beginners.

One of them started in October last year and the rest, the other two have started this year.

But I was keen to get them along today just to cement what they've already learnt because we're coming to the end of the season.
