0:07.2	First up a crazy story out of Rocky Mountain National Park. Late Sunday afternoon, a 23-year-old man sped through the Grand Lake entrance on the west side of the park.
0:17.0	You know where you're supposed to stop and pay.
0:19.0	Park law enforcement rangers were notified and attempted to pull the man over. He failed to yield and
0:25.5	continued to drive recklessly on US Highway 34, that's Trail Ridge Road, passing vehicles at high
0:32.4	rates of speeds over the 48 mile stretch of the mountain
0:36.3	highway through the park. If you've ever driven Trail Ridge Road, you know how absolutely
0:41.6	bonkers a high- speed chaseover it is.
0:44.7	Because of the suspect's high rates of speed and recklessness,
0:47.7	law enforcement rangers backed off on the pursuit.
0:50.7	Law enforcement personnel attempted to slow the vehicle at Deer Ridge Junction
0:55.0	and placed spike strips near Beaver Meadows entrance. The suspect continued to travel at a high rate of
1:00.8	speed south past the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center and hit another vehicle with three individuals inside.
1:07.0	All three were transported by ambulance to Estes Park Health, one with critical injuries.
1:12.0	After the collision, the suspect exited his vehicle
1:15.2	and ran on foot towards Holmes along high drive
1:18.6	in the town of Estes Park.
1:20.0	And when I mean on foot, he was not wearing shoes or a shirt.
1:23.5	Law enforcement agencies provided instructions to the area,
1:26.7	residents to shelter and place.
1:28.4	The suspect was apprehended the following morning
1:31.3	around 1030 in the area and was identified as Wade
