First up a crazy story out of Rocky Mountain National Park. Late Sunday afternoon, a 23-year-old man sped through the Grand Lake entrance on the west side of the park.

You know where you're supposed to stop and pay.

Park law enforcement rangers were notified and attempted to pull the man over. He failed to yield and

continued to drive recklessly on US Highway 34, that's Trail Ridge Road, passing vehicles at high

rates of speeds over the 48 mile stretch of the mountain

highway through the park. If you've ever driven Trail Ridge Road, you know how absolutely

bonkers a high- speed chaseover it is.

Because of the suspect's high rates of speed and recklessness,

law enforcement rangers backed off on the pursuit.

Law enforcement personnel attempted to slow the vehicle at Deer Ridge Junction

and placed spike strips near Beaver Meadows entrance. The suspect continued to travel at a high rate of

speed south past the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center and hit another vehicle with three individuals inside.

All three were transported by ambulance to Estes Park Health, one with critical injuries.

After the collision, the suspect exited his vehicle

and ran on foot towards Holmes along high drive

in the town of Estes Park.

And when I mean on foot, he was not wearing shoes or a shirt.

Law enforcement agencies provided instructions to the area,

residents to shelter and place.

The suspect was apprehended the following morning

around 1030 in the area and was identified as Wade
