And each week I will teach verse by verse through the passage of scripture

so that you can better understand the word of God

section of the Bible. So I just need to dive into this so that we'll have time for the questions at the end.

So as we do let me begin in a word of prayer. Father as we look into your word now

we ask that you would open our eyes, open our ears, that we can take in the truth of your

word, may your Holy Spirit be the teacher, the primary teacher, use me simply as a tool and as an instrument filming with your spirit

that I may be within the bounds of truth as we look at your word. We pray this in Christ's name, Amen. All right,

Romans 13, we're at the end of the chapter, verses 11 through 14, the title of this lesson is The Urgency of the Hour.

The Urgency of the Hour.

And I want to begin by reading the passage starting in verse 11, do this, knowing the time that

it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep.

For now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.

The night is almost gone and the day is near.

Therefore, let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Let us behave properly as in the day

not in carousing and drunkenness

not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality

not in strife and jealousy, but put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the

flesh in regard to its loss.

In light of all of the unfolding world events that we see taking place around us, any thinking Christian would have to ask themselves this question.
