But in the meantime, with all of us here, we thought it would be worth kind of exploring lying

in climbing today on both a professional and recreational level. Does it happen?

How often and should we care? Here we go. This is climbing gold. What are we talking about today?

We are talking about lying or cheating in climbing, basically.

On climbing goal, we've been talking about territory and the debacle around Maestri's decision to basically make up the fact that he had originally

climbed the mountain and basically all the all the events that spiral outward from that lie and it brought up

the sort of topic of like well that's really interesting like what place does lying have in climbing? Because I think

there's been a trend where people are saying, like, well, it's, you know, everyone's about their

own word and that people have sort of thought on a level like, hey, people are going to be honest

in climbing. But that makes no sense because someone with a serial lying problem or a lying, like, there's

no way that we've got a little corner of the universe where no one lies, right?

Like that's just not realistic to think that way.
