Alex, are there roots in your climbing career where you had a major breakthrough, like maybe

a jump to grade or sort of saw a new possibility?

Something that really stood out to you along your journey.

Well, actually, I mean, climbing the nose in a day for the first time, it's like a little

cliche, but my first time climbing all cap felt like a big breakthrough.

I mean, the goal was to climb the nose in a day.

And then when we topped out, we thought it was the middle of the night.

And then the sun rose right after we topped out.

We were like, oh my God, the whole night went by.

Basically, we finished in 22 hours or something.

It was like the whole day.

And we were just so worked. And it just felt like a big

step forward in terms of what was possible on Big Walls or in Yosemite. I still think it's the most

tired I've ever been. My climbing journal, I can, you know, I've looked at it since then. And in like the

five days after we climbed the nose, I tried to climb each day, but I basically would go out and climb like two V-Zeros and then rest the rest the day.

I'd go out and solo one pitch of five six and then rest.

I was like completely shattered for a week.
