Amanda, what are we talking about this week? On the show. This week on the

show we are talking to the team behind Besso, which is a lovely little

Japanese restaurant in New York.

We brought them on because both the owner and the chef are seven months pregnant and that is a rare

occurrence so I wanted to talk about to them about what it's like to run the restaurant and also to run the restaurant during a

pandemic. Let's do it. Let's bring on the team.

Daniel, I don't think we talk enough about parenthood on this show or in general when it comes to restaurants, and we definitely don't talk at all about pregnancy.

And both in terms of what it means to be pregnant and such a physical role, but also

discrimination people face, whether working in front of house or back of house

well pregnant now with COVID I think there's an extra layer of risk of being pregnant and

being in a restaurant especially if they're working indoors and if there's indoor dining.
