So this week I had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Fazler Raman.

He is a medical oncologist who was born and raised in what is now Bangladesh

and he was trained in medicine between Dhaka, New York, and Houston,

after which he practiced cancer medicine for 35 years in San Angelo, Texas.

He's also an adjunct professor of biology, medical humanities, and ethics at Angelo State University,

and has written for several different publications.

He's got a new book out.

It's called Our Connected Lives, Caring for Cancer Patients in rural Texas.
