We're going through the Cinderella story of the old testament in six weeks with two amazing characters

Ruth a Moabite gal who was widowed bow as an older wealthy affluent single guy

They fall in love get a little bad counsel from a gal named Naomi and God works it all out

So they can get married have a baby named Obed and through him would come another guy

You might have heard about his name is Jesus. You're gonna love this love story

And I thank you for your prayers

We're in a great book of the Bible the book of Ruth and while you're finding your place in Ruth chapter two

How many of you are single raise your hand single people single people single

Okay, you guys can meet after service and I want you to know something for the first time in the nation's history

You all are the majority how many of you are married folks like I am we are now the minority for the first time in the nation's history

The majority of adults are single not

Married and so when we pick up this great love story of Ruth

It's a Cinderella story the old testament

We find that it is incredibly timely though. It's a three thousand year old book of the Bible

It speaks absolutely to the circumstances in which the majority of people find themselves today

So those who are sort of the central characters in the book include Naomi

Who is an older woman who is widowed and she's single a guy named Boaz you're gonna meet today

He's a great guy in these single and the gal named Ruth and so let me catch you up on this story and for those of you who are single
