episodes. This is episode 7 of our season-long dissection of M.F.Doo. I'm your host Cole Kushner. Oh, no. On April 17, 19th, 1991, 19 year old Daniel Dumale

appeared in front of the United States Senate to advocate his support of the

National Voter Registration Act, a bill designed to

simplify voter registration.

When Daniel heard about this bill, he and his group KMD immediately took action by making

a public service announcement to inform their fans about its importance.

They also booked a three week tour performing at college campuses where they collected signatures in support of the bill.

Here's Daniel sharing this experience with the Senate.

This is so easy for me to understand that I did the public service announcement

and then went on to this tour that we did, I'm saying, we just got this the last day of

the tour, I was on the last day of the tour.

I was on it for three weeks, right now.

If it was that easy for me to understand,

and that's why we went on the tour,

because I knew through our colleges,
