My guest today is Noah Labhart.

Noah is the host of Code Story and he's also the CEO and co-founder of Variable,

which is an on-demand labor marketplace for manufacturing and logistics.

Noah's podcast, Code Story, is all about exploring the human side of building a tech startup from

scratch, told in the words of the founders themselves. As an expert in that field himself,

Noah is able to ask the right questions to walk listeners through the process of how each guest

went from an IDS sketch on the back of a napkin to a fully functioning product with thousands

of users.

One thing that really stood out to me about Code Story is the fact that it's had a really

high production value right from the beginning.

The interviews are tightly edited to craft a narrative in each episode.

Noah takes time to carefully script out an introduction that sets the scene for listeners.

And episodes feature handpicked backing tracks

that help convey the key stages of each guest journey put together all this creates a fully

immersive audio experience similar to many mpr podcasts in its style but noah is able to do all that

with only just a tiny fraction of the budget and resources that

NPR have to work with, which is really impressive.

And in this interview, I spoke with him about his journey with Code Story so far and some of

the parallels that exist between starting a company and starting a podcast.
