Thanks for joining. My name is Parker Primrose. I'm subbing in for Emma Daughter today while she's at Jury Tutie.

And today we are reading Psalm 59 and I am joined in the

studio by Faithful Watermark member Bentley Borrego. Bentley, thanks for joining us today.

Yeah, thanks for having me. And I just learned, Bentley just let me know that she has been

contributing to the journey since she was eight years old. So Bentley, thank you for being a long

time journey member. Yeah, absolutely. Really happy to be here.

Now, with that Bentley, I would love to hear a little bit of your story. So what has God done in your

life and what are you up to today? Yeah, awesome. Well, I'm going to start at the beginning. I was

born in a Christian home, oldest of four siblings with incredible

parents who loved Jesus, loved each other, accepted Jesus as my savior when I was four years old,

knelt down next to my bed, prayed with my dad, and that was the moment that I would tell you that

my eternity was sealed. I'm incredibly blessed to grow up at Watermark and at a Christian school. So

awesome environment with great role models. But from in really early age, remember feeling just

this crazy weight and need to achieve, succeed, perform that really carried me through elementary

middle and into high school. In high school was very much defined by myself and others, by my performance and my actions.

I didn't drink.

I didn't miss a small group.

I made great grades, but was just truly empty and wasting away from mostly anxiety,

but also just fear of man that I was letting dictate my life.

And it really took getting me out of my bubble in college down at UT Austin to start to see beyond myself.
