As Gary Ridgway leaves the plant, King County Sheriff's deputies arrest him on four counts of aggravated murder.

The evidence linking Ridgway to the murders has come from the bodies of Marsha Chapman and

Opel Mills, found by the Green River on August 15, 1982, just a month after the very first Green

River victim was recovered.

The investigation has taken almost 20 years.

Gary Ridgway has been a suspect for 18 of them.

And in that time, his home has been searched,

he's been questioned, and even passed polygraph tests but he's never been arrested.
