0:07.7	So, if I say to you, think of 1950s America, what comes to mind?

0:15.3	Is that what America was great or like, what was it the 1850s?

0:24.2	I keep trying to figure out what America was great.

0:47.8	But you know, I think the sort of paradox of the 50s is that the dominant image that
0:52.4	even I grew up with was like cool diners and father knows best on TV and just like suburbs,
0:59.8	you know, just a woman's place is in the home.

1:07.2	That white suburban conformity is a really important part, at least of the image that
