Thanksgiving is still fresh on my mind. And we had a pleasant one ourselves. Our little family

tucked around the table eating a massive Thanksgiving spread to which we all contributed.

There was a lot of cooking over two days in my home, and we

have been feasting on the leftovers ever since. It's been a pleasant few days. The daughter

has returned to college, although only for a week or so, and then she'll be back yet again

for her extended winter break. The boy is, you know, doing what he does,

which is mostly sitting upstairs in his bedroom doing various young man activities.

As for me, yesterday, I had an excursion which made me grateful for continuing to do this podcast year after year, as I have been doing,

which is this. I got invited to read a story aloud. I mean, this is in my wheelhouse. It was called

a Christmas memory written by Truman Capote.

And this event was hosted by the Flannery O'Connor Home Museum, which is located here in Savani.

And they asked me if I would like to read the story aloud to an audience.

This is an annual tradition they have.
