It was a horrific scene, something out of a nightmare.

In the wee hours of March 1, 2008, the Kaffee family is jolted awake in their beds.

Before it's over, every family member is either shot or stabbed.

All of them are terrorized and in left for dead as their home burns to the ground around them.

An attack on a range county family left a mother and her two sons dead and a father in the hospital.

It was early Saturday morning when father and husband Terry Kaffee crawled to his neighbor's house

after being shot. Police say Penny Kaffee and her eight and thirteen-year-old sons were shot

and stabbed multiple times before dying. The house was then set on fire.

In custody, our 18-year-old Bobby Johnson, 20-year-old Charles Wade,

and 19-year-old Charles Wilkinson, he's the boyfriend of 16-year-old Aaron Kaffee.

She's the victim's daughter and has also been arrested.

Only the father Terry and the eldest daughter Aaron survived the massacre.

But were they both survivors? Once in custody, Charlie, Charles, and Bobby,

all claimed pretty blonde sweet Aaron was the mastermind who plotted the evil and brutal attack

on her own family. But Aaron still insisted she was a victim.
