Summary

In 2012, mother of two, Michelle Warner, vanished without a trace after arguing with her live-in ex-boyfriend, Mark Castellano. Authorities say that Castellano exhibited bizarre behavior just after Michelle’s disappearance, claiming that Warner had abandoned her children. He then did an interview with Dr. Phil in which he denied knowing what had happened to his ex. “I felt in my bones that Mark knew more than he had initially let on,“ says Dr. Phil in part two of the crime podcast, “Twisted Love: Bringing a Murderer to Justice,” Mystery and Murder: Analysis by Dr. Phil . “I noted he was going out of his way to make her seem like a bad person.” New episodes drop every Thursday. Some of her friends had even referred to him as being psychotic. He had already been initially questioned by police and had offered them no clues as to where the mother of his son might be.

But Mark didn't want to talk to the police. He wanted to talk exclusively to me. He wanted to set the record straight on what really happened, to clear his name.

He was staying with his father and stepmother in Odessa, Texas. I'd be meeting him at his family home far away from the apartment he had shared with Michelle.

I would be on his turf. I would listen to his story. But what I knew I wouldn't do was play by his rules.

The first time I put on these Vessy shoes, I thought they were like magic. They're comfortable, they're stylish, and maybe I'm getting stiff. I don't know, but they're real easy to slip on and off. Now that's my kind of shoe.

My Vessy Cloud Burst has all the features of a rubber winter boot built into a sneaker. And we've had so much rain in California lately, it couldn't have come at a better time.

100% waterproof, not water resistant, big difference added lining inside for extra warmth in the cold. I never thought I'd be talking about this in California, because we've been in a drought forever, but talk about coming at the right time. Really a big deal.

As soon as the plane touched down in Odessa, my news producer got a call from Mark. He wanted to back out. The man who had been so eager to share his story with me days ago was now getting cold feet.

3:22.0

I'm not one to sugarcoat and people know that about me. Was he scared of what I would think of him or what I might find out?

At this point, we were driving through endless oil fields. If you ever watch Friday night lights, you'll know what I'm talking about. This town, Odessa, Texas is where that story took place.

So as we are in this car heading towards him after traveling to this remote location, he is saying, never mind.

We ultimately reasoned with him. My producer later told me she was freaking out. This was her first big story on the road with me. And for a minute there, it looked like she had brought me for absolutely nothing.
