Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Oh, Oh, Hello all and the very warmest of welcomes to the True Crime Enthusiats podcast coming to you this time around from a very rainy corner of North Wales.

And from where each time around I bring you a tale of true crime that may be off the norm, it may be unfamiliar to you or obscure, that I've sought

out from the annals that the UK and Ireland, and very occasionally abroad as well, have to offer.

Doing so is myself Paul, the creator host and True Crime Enthusias to the show's title.

He's black, white and never really out of my sight when I'm in anyway.

when he is ever. And of course, we're completed by yourselves, the wonderful enthusiasts that make the show happen,

or else this is just me talking to myself in my spare

room and I'm only just about one swish away from the butterfly net as it is.

The tale I've got for you this time around

as chilling echoes of a classic 1950s movie.

I don't know if you're a fan or not but I'm a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock films.

And one of his finest I think is the 1954 classic Dial M Murder, in which Ray Milland and Grace Kelly play a married couple,

Tony and Sheila Wendy's.

The marriage has soured somewhat and Sheila has been involved in an affair with a crime fiction writer, but unbeknownst to them.

Tony knows about the affair and persuades his wife to have a night in while he plots for an accomplice an old school friend to enter the house and kill her.

Crucially to the plot he arranges to ring his wife of precisely 11 p.m. so she will be in their living room where the

accomplice will pounce. However, the plan goes somewhat wrong and the tables get somewhat
