Podcast. Saugher and I will discuss a couple quick notes for the non-paid subscribers and give a bit of a preview of how we handle the

page section and then we'll transition into the AMA where we'll take people's supercast questions.

Okay, two main things I want to hit.

One is serious in the sense that it's the 2024 election

and the other one is deeply unserious relating to a big protest that happened at a event I was

moderating this week where Matt Iglesias is talk with Derek Thompson, friend

of both of our shows, and was interrupted by climate protesters.

We'll get into all of that because a bunch of people on Twitter saw that like I'm briefly

featured in that video. I'll just say it's great to not be the starring person in a video of a recording with

activists so a quick fun story there but Saugher let's just start by talking about the

state of the 2024 election I've always been struck by a point

that you always hit home, which is that the 2020 election

was basically decided by what, like 40,000 voters

across a couple different states? Basically, yes.

So what was the actual number?

Like how should we think about it?

It depends on which states that you want to look at.

Georgia is 10K, you know, Pennsylvania is like 80K, Michigan, Wisconsin is a, if you put, depending on which

states you want to look at like Arizona, Georgia and Michigan and or Wisconsin, then yeah, you can

get to the 40 number. So it is a very it was very very close it was much
