You talk about the Salt Lake Temple, how it took 40 years to construct.

But 40 years was generations for them.

They were evolving, going through issues, strengthening their testimonies, and the temple was there when they needed the temple.

And I looked at those pioneers, especially that sacrificed literally everything they had in many respects,

because they knew that they needed to have the power that comes with the covenant that they could only get

in the temples of the most high.

And we feel the same way about Salt Lake.

And we feel the same way about the other temples throughout the world.

It is the power that you receive in making and keeping covenants

that makes a difference in individuals' lives.

And we're just thrilled to be a part of that.

Part of this continual focus on temple service is the extensive renovation of Pioneer

Era temples, including the iconic Salt Lake Temple, which closed in January of 2020 for extensive renovations.
