I dealt with that breakdown by buying as much music from 2016 as I

possibly could. As a result, I now own over 700 albums that came out in 2016 and I'm convinced

it's the greatest year for music of all time. But it's not enough me being convinced. I also want to

convince each and every single one of you plus a guest every week i'm going to send

them an album in advance they're going to come on the podcast we're going to talk about that album

this week my guest is sarah baron and we're talking about crab day by kate lebonne nice seems

no doubt least 15 for your money kate lebonne is a Welsh singer-songwriter.

She has a whole band behind her.

She's now based in L.A. as well, which I think for me really sums her up, like a fish out of water.

She kind of makes more sense when she doesn't make sense, if that makes sense.

So I like it when Kate La Bonn is taken out of her hometown in Wales and thrust into Sunny L.A.

And this album was like, I don't think a lot of artists have it when sometimes they let the pressures of

music or the industry just get on top of you and then just have a project that makes you just go,

actually, I want to reconnect with what's fun about making music and this was very much that album.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful wonderful

with this album really the main rule was that if it's not fun stop stop doing it, you really connect with what's enjoyable.

And I think you can see that on every single song.
