When two young women began a feud over the same guy, the arguments and the threats were a two-way street. No one expected them to amount to anything until they did.

And this teenage feud turned into a test of Florida's stand-your-ground law.

I'm Charlie and welcome to crime lines as you may have noticed if you're a keen observer of my schedule or you at least follow me on social media you know that there was no episode last week.

Usually I release episodes on the first, third, and fourth weeks of the month and I just take the second week off,

but this time I took the first week off, and that's because this case required more time than I had allotted it, so I shuffled things around because I'd rather take a little longer with something than give it a superficial treatment.

Sometimes episodes take longer because they're long episodes like the recent two-part or on the

murder of Carol Kennedy, but some like this one

aren't necessarily super long, but there was just so much information to go over.

The trial was televised and it's actually still available on the court TV website, which is listed in my sources.

But the depositions prior to trial and a number of witness statements from different hearings are also

available, or at least the transcripts are, and those are on the county court. are also

linked in my sources.

Because I like details, I ended up reading and watching

almost everything I could find, even though it was mostly redundant.

One day I will find that intersection of efficiency and thoroughness but until then I will just

keep making my show the way I make it, and sometimes we'll have to be flexible

in the schedule.

I do want to give a bit of a language warning on this episode.
