The program was originally broadcast in 1990 and the presenter was Sue Lawley.

My cast away this week is a film star.

Expelled from that apotheosis of a polite education rodene, she soon found herself performing

in a series of less than polite parts.

When she was only 18 she was picked by Lawrence Olivier to play the schoolgirl who tried

to seduce her teacher in the film Term of Trial.

After that she entertained audiences by disturbing Dirk Bogard in the servant and a distinguished

Hollywood cast in Ryan's daughter.

Now married to the playwright Robert Boat for the second time, her career has been full

of surprises, not only for the public but for herself as well.

Nearly two years ago she was dropped at the last minute by Peter Hall from the part of

Imogen in Simbling at the National Theatre.

Since then however, offers of work have continued to be poured upon her.

She is Sarah Miles.

Sarah Rebellius is an adjective which crops up regularly in connection with your name.

It's something you've consciously striven to be.

I don't see myself as Rebellius, you see, this is my big problem.

So do you think you're just one of those sort of people who attracts trouble and that's

just the way some people are and you're unfortunate enough to be one?
