Summary

Two boys struggle to make it through a weekend of community service in the corpse of their old southwest Virginia high school in the winter of 1983.

1:21.0	freedom that promised the coming holiday break would last longer
1:25.0	than it scheduled week and a half.
1:28.0	Hell, last year the kids got nut on December 18th
1:31.0	and didn't set foot on school grounds again till the end of January.
1:35.0	The snow in Central Appalachia knows neither kindness nor mercy
1:40.0	and is no respecter of persons.
1:43.0	In Esau, Isaac and Grant counties in the Highlands of Virginia,
1:47.0	the 1983 holiday season arrived with low hanging clouds
1:51.0	that dropped their dazzling burden on the haves and have
1:54.0	knots alike until everything slept beneath a frost-kissed crust
