So we thought we would kick it off just by asking you how you transitioned from being a White House advisor in the George Bush administration to being, let's face it, the star of the CNN right now. Like you're the reason people are tuning in. How did that all happen?

Well, it's a long story. I worked in politics for a long

time beginning in the year 2000. So I've been doing this for 25 years and did work for President

George W. Bush. And ultimately, when that was over, I did both campaigns and served in his White

House. I went home to Kentucky and started a private firm and continued to work in politics somewhat there.

I joined CNN in June of 2017. I had actually done about a year with Fox News before that during
