All right. We're back. This is Jay Brown Yoga Talks podcast. My name is Jay Brown.

0:18.2

How is everybody? I hope you had a good week. I'm sure you can hear from the tone of my voice already that I'm in a much more relaxed place this week than when I was speaking to you last week. I got a bunch of emails from you guys asking me, what are you talking about, man?

0:41.0

I was awful cryptic, wasn't I, in those intros and outros. Well, a lot's happened, and I definitely

0:48.7

feel more at liberty to speak freely this week than I did last.

1:02.6

First, let me just explain a little bit about the next couple of podcasts, because last week's podcast with Kino, today's podcast with Scott, next week's podcast with Sarai, Harvey

1:10.4

Smith, and then maybe even one more. We have to see,

1:14.6

but there might be one more after. All of these podcasts are sort of turning into a bit of a series.

1:20.5

And I didn't really plan for that. It just sort of happened accidentally. You see, those of you

1:26.5

have been listening for some months might recall that

1:30.1

whenever I've had somebody on the podcast who mentions to me that they met Potabi

1:37.7

Joyce or studied with Potabi Joyce, I have always been asking them. So what do you think about the recent revelations of sexual abuse by Potabi Joyce?

1:48.9

And then I let them say whatever they want to say, and then we kind of move on.

1:53.1

And I haven't like been pressing people or asking any hard questions.

1:57.9

And some of the people I was talking to, they weren't really like inside the

2:02.4

Estanga yoga community necessarily, except for Richard Freeman, who I think I was just like a

2:09.1

little star studded and just it was a little while back and I just didn't know as much as I know now

2:15.2

and I softballed him and that And that was the criticisms I got.

2:21.0

People I really respect said, Jay, if you're going to bring this up and you're going to ask about

2:26.1

Potabi Joyce, you can't just softball and let everybody off the hook. Like, this is like a serious issue,

2:32.3

and you've got to discuss it seriously.

2:39.3

You can't just be like all buddy-buddy when you're talking about tough things like this.

2:44.8

And I felt shitty about that, and I felt ill-equipped.
