I'm Raj Seab Sundew, a journalist based in Westminster.

And I'm Phil Sim, a journalist, normally based in the Scottish Parliament, but today, thanks to the glamour of election campaigning, I am outside a large supermarket in Edinburgh. I'm genuinely

lurking behind the bins right now to find somewhere quiet at the corner. Phil, I feel we have to

start on that before we get to last night's debate. Just give a bit of an insight to our listeners

what our job sometimes involves and why you're lurking at a supermarket.

It's essentially John Swinney's doing his daily photo op in the campaign and I guess maybe there's a cost of living thing going on with, you know, prices in the supermarkets maybe.

So he's, I can see him through the big doors of this supermarket, which will remain nameless, because

other supermarkets are available.

But yeah, he's basically having his picture taken, talking to people in a supermarket,

and then he's going to do some interviews, hopefully.

So we do this four times a day now with all of the parties, sort of following them around.

At least with the supermarket, you can pick up your lunch when you're done as well. I was about to say that. You can get

a meal deal while you're there and you'll get a little bit of atmosphere as well because there

is like trolleys going past in the background. You might even get some sort of like beeping

checkout noises. Well you perhaps had had slightly more glamorous surroundings last night,
