We picked it because that's what's happening. Look at whatever

indicator you like. People are selling the dollar. They're selling their stocks in American

companies. They're selling U.S. Treasury bonds. They're not coming here on vacation and they're

buying fewer American goods. Those are choices. The same way President Trump has made choices with his trade policies.

But you can't take apart a system of global trade that's been built up over the past 80 years.

You can't take it apart in just a matter of weeks and not have some blowback.
