Hello and welcome to best laid plans.

This is your host Sarah Hart Unger and this is a podcast where we talk all things planning

0:14.9

and planning adjacent.

Today I have for you a Q&A episode for December.

0:20.6

So the very last one of the calendar year,

0:23.2

super excited to share some of these great questions that I got. But I've also had a request to share

0:29.5

how I set up my Hobonichi weeks, or more specifically, the book that I use in addition to my planner

0:37.2

to track all kinds of things

0:38.9

throughout the year. I talked about how last year in 2024, I used a cloth and paper disc bound

0:45.4

planner that had a beautiful leather cover for this purpose. I put my books read in there,

0:51.0

my to be read list, had sections for goals, all kinds of stuff. In the end,

0:56.1

it worked pretty well, but it was a fairly bulky item with the leather cover and the

1:01.7

discs and the thick, luxurious paper. And so for 2025, I decided to go for something a

1:07.9

little bit more transient. So it's not discbound. I won't be able to

1:11.3

keep it forever. It's a one year book. But on the plus side, it fits in all of my bags and I can

1:17.4

carry it with me without a second thought. So I'm using Hobonichi Weeks Mega. I got the lemon

1:24.6

water color and it's light sky blue with like a yellow lettering, so very

1:29.8

peaceful looking. And I've already started delving into it and setting it up. So I'm happy to share

1:35.3

how I'm using the various sections in this hobonichi weeks to really kind of track all sorts

1:41.7

of things and keep track of my goals and lists and things for

1:44.9

2025. I will say the one downside of using a book like this is that the pages aren't easily

1:51.7

reusable. So in order to keep various things that I have in here as a reference for the future,
