Barton Kursa Holderson was living in a quiet life in Windsor, Wisconsin.

They had a beautiful home and were the proud parents of two sons, Mitchell 24, who worked in

tech and was engaged to be married, their other son Chandler who was 23 and attending Madison College

studying for an IT degree and had a job lined up at SpaceX but But on July 2nd, Krista didn't show up for work and our

coworkers began to worry. They tried calling Krista but there was no response and on

July 7th that's when Chandler reported his parents missing to the local police, telling detectives his mom and dad were picked up and driven to a cabin by a couple he didn't know on July 1st. But police would later find out that the parents had never

gone to the cabin that weekend and slowly the world of lies that Chandler had been creating for years started to unravel.

From creating fake college administration email accounts to email his dad to pretend that

he was still in college, all the way to faking an apartment in Florida and a job at

SpaceX. All this would be brought to the parents attention, ironically, the day before they would never be seen again.

In Madison, Wisconsin, which is the state's capital and home to about half a million people.

About 25 minutes outside of Madison was a suburban town named

Windsor and there lived the Halderson family. The family was made up of

the father Bart, the mother Krista, and their two sons Mitchell and Chandler.

Bart at 50 years old was working as an accountant at an accountant firm in Madison,

and as for Krista, she was a receptionist at a car dealership.

The parents were said to be very hardworking and good parents and although Krista was

quite the helicopter mom from time to time, she just wanted the best for her boys and

wanted them to grow up to be happy and successful. The boys' childhoods were

pretty normal the both of them were Eagle Scouts but there was always competition between Chandler and Mitchell.

Mitchell was the son that always got good grades, he was very social,

while Chandler was kind of a rebellious teen and would sneak out, ditch school.
