Stephen is a poet and a meditation teacher who has worked counseling the dying and their loved ones for the past 40 years. He's the author of the

best-selling books, Who Dies, and A Year to Live. With sounds true, Stephen has turned his groundbreaking work from a year to live into an audio learning program. Sounds True has also published other audio titles with Stephen Levine, including In The Heart lies the Deathless,

Stephen, when I first started Sounds True back in 1985,

you were one of the first authors that I worked with.

Some of your early recordings were some of the first recordings to come through Sounds True.

And I'm wondering what it's like for you now, 25 years later since Sounds True began, and it been I think over a decade since you've no longer been teaching publicly,

been on the circuit out there shaking it at workshops and conference centers.

Just what it's like to you to be in this different phase of your life,

one might say semi-obscurity in the mountains of New Mexico, what that's what's

that been like for you? This obscurity this is a good thing. It allows us, some quiet allows us to practice what we've been
