In addition, she and her husband, Louie, founded Passion Conferences in 1997, and in 2009 they planted Passion City Church with multiple campuses in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. Together, they lead the Passion Movement and are committed to spreading the fame of Jesus Christ to college-aged people around the globe. 0:00.0	You actually have to put pressure on your life in the areas that you want to grow in.
0:07.0	And knowing God is not an easy thing. God is a all encompassing person and it says there's no facets of turning with
0:17.5	him so there is no backside to God there's all privilege and
0:21.6	understanding but we have to pursue that to be privilege and I think
0:25.0	I think the church has become lazy and knowing God.
0:30.0	We expect that some pastor will come deliver to us what we're going to know about God and that knowing enough about God is going to be enough for our lives.
0:40.5	And I'm telling you right now, listen, I've listened to as many sermons as any person in life, mostly from one pastor who's, thank God, pretty good.
0:48.0	Pretty good.
0:50.0	But it's not enough for me.
0:52.0	I could listen to Louis preach all day long every day and it would not be enough for him to discover how to know God and for him to transfer that to me.
1:00.0	I have to know God myself.
1:02.0	So I have to know God myself. So I have to pick up scripture. I have to dig my life into it.
1:06.2	I have to figure out what he's saying to me. And Christians are lazy. They want somebody to deliver and hand feed them what they should be
1:15.2	digging in to figure out for themselves. And do I think pastors bring things to
1:19.5	life? Yes. Do I pray that they preach the word of God in truth?
1:23.3	Yes.
1:24.0	Do I think that's enough for you today?
1:25.7	Absolutely not.
1:27.1	And if you can't discover it for yourself,
1:29.3	then there's something wrong spiritually with your life.
