Summary

Sophia Money-Coutts joins us today to talk all about her Dream Dinner Party. Sophia is a British journalist and author. She writes regularly for The Telegraph, has written 5 novels and has been described as the new "queen of rom coms".

Her latest book Looking for Love is out now. Sophia did her own brilliant podcast a few years ago on freezing her eggs, it's honestly fantastic and I really recommend having a listen if that's something you might be thinking about. She's warm, witty and I was so happy to have her on The Dream Dinner Party.

1:21.2

I think for a long time, people were a bit, I don't know, a bit snooty about them almost.

1:22.7

And I think they're having a resurgence.

1:23.5

What do you think?

1:27.6

No, I would totally agree because I think what's happening, and I have this conversation with lots of friends at the moment is going to restaurants is too expensive, right? I'm talking from

1:33.8

London, obviously. The amount it costs now to have dinner per head and sometimes what I

1:38.8

particularly resent, especially in London, sometimes it's really very average and it's still really expensive.

1:46.0

And I would say most people I know are cutting back, have cut back, are going out way less than they were because it's just got so crazy expensive.

1:56.4

And the rise of the like 40, 50, even 60 quid main course is absolutely ludicrous and
