I had this weird fascination with Scotland and with this idea of not even the Highlands but green hills.

Lots of rain and lots of green. I had never been here before.

I don't think I was very aware of Scottish films or books or anything like that either.

It was something I can't really explain that pulled me here.

I'm originally from Vienna in Austria and I moved to Glasgow about eight years ago.

I moved here for university, was supposed to stay for a year, and then never left.

I just fell in love with the country, with the people.

You know, I built my business around promoting the country and traveling the country.

And it just feels like home.

Did you get that feeling as soon as you arrived in Glasgow then?

I did feel weirdly connected to the city right away.

I didn't understand the word anybody was saying.
